Important Notice to Members

eLearning BC (eLBC) has formally merged with New Media BC (NMBC) As forms of digital media and the Web continue to increase their scope, reach and impact on organizations of all types and the knowledge-based workplace's requirements for talent, skills, creativity and engagement grow, NMBC’s merger with eLBC is a strategic initiative to enhance NMBC's role as a catalyst for meeting those requirements.

This merger strengthens our collective voice representing all aspects of digital media, provides increased resources for existing New Media BC members and gives NMBC in house access to subject matter experts in the expanding technology for learning sub-sector of digital media. This merger also represents opportunities for new levels of engagement amongst all parties.

The merger gives eLBC the additional resources needed to effectively carry out our mandate in this political and business climate. Through the expertise of our members in creating effective learning strategies, content and delivery, the merger means that members, partners and clients now have enhanced capabilities for embedding and implementing learning technologies to support the rapid development of new skills, competencies and talent.

The environment of constant convergence and integration requires constant learning and adaptation. The combined forces of the two organizations means we can make a significant contribution to the collective ability of the BC knowledge-based workforce to create and respond quickly to new business models as they emerge. We are now poised to help BC organizations ensure the job readiness of BC's digital media talent.

This message is also posted on the NMBC website so you are encouraged to visit www.newmediabc.com for the immediate future, after which the eLBC website will cease to exist.
